AN evil dad murdered two of his three children – sparing the life of the youngest – and his wife after suspecting her of cheating on him, police say.
Austin Smith, 30, also shot dead the brother of his wife’s alleged lover – before claiming that God told him to carry out the bloody gun rampage, according to cops in Phoenix, Arizona.
Smith was arrested on Thursday as he drove from an apartment where police responded to a shooting.
They found the body of Ron Freeman, 46, who detectives believe is the brother of a man who Smith accused of sleeping with his wife.
Court documents say Freeman called the gunman “crazy” before he was shot dead.
Cops later rushed to Smith’s home where they found his wife Dasia Patterson, 29, dead from gunshot wounds.
KIDS BRUTALLY MURDERED
They also found the bodies of Smith’s daughters Nasha, 5, and 7-year-old Mayan – who was killed by blunt force trauma.
Court docs spelled out in graphic detail how the alleged killer brutally attacked his eldest daughter.
He is said to have thrown the child into the ceiling before punching her and striking her head several times with a baseball bat.
Smith reportedly told cops he killed his eldest daughter because she was crying – and she shouldn’t be “weeping for the wicked”.
He said his “other two daughters reminded him of his wife whom he considered wicked in the eyes of God”, police added.
But the couple’s terrified 3-year-old daughter was uninjured found hiding under a bed at the family’s home.
Sgt Tommy Thompson said of Smith’s youngest daughter: “It is my understanding that for whatever reason he elected not to shoot her.”
‘DOING GOD’S WORK’
Smith told detectives that “in God’s eyes it was all right for him to deal with someone in this manner who had been involved in adultery or an extramarital affair,” Sgt Thompson added.
Two other people – an unnamed man and woman – were also shot and injured at the “chaotic” apartment complex where Mr Freeman was killed.
Police believe Smith brutally murdered his family first – before driving to Mr Freeman’s home and carrying out the second round of cold-blooded killings.

Smith is being held in Maricopa County on a $2million bond.
He has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
